Our History

Don Heise

Heise Painting was started by Don Heise in 1969. For nearly 50 years, Don tackled painting projects in hundreds of residences, businesses, and ski-resort condominiums in the Mad River Valley, Waterbury, and Stowe areas.

Coby and Shaun as kids

In 2004, his youngest son, Coby Heise, and Coby's childhood buddy and hockey teammate, Shaun Morse, came aboard. Coby and Shaun took over the reigns of Heise Painting when Don partially retired in 2010.

In 2021, Heise Painting became a 3rd-generation outfit, with Coby's oldest son, Maddox, joining the crew in the summers, along with several of his friends.

Heise Painting has continued the tradition of hiring local high school kids for the summer season, with Coby's youngest son, Gage, joining the team in 2025, along with several of his local high school hockey teammates.
